Basswood Bark Edge Planks

Bark edge planks are the first plank sawn off of the log. This plank is sap wood and is some of the best wood cut from the log. All bark edge planks have bark remaining the full length of two edges and are in their natural state.

Bark edge planks are used by artists for many wood crafts which include wood burning (pyrography), laser engraving and relief carving. These planks can be used for sign making, decorative plaques, decoupage and hobby wood.

All of our planks are winter cut, kiln dried, and sanded on the front working surface. Most of our planks have few markings, however some may have natural character. These planks are available in three thicknesses: 3/4, 1 3/4 & 2 3/4 inch thick.
